Hostile is a behavioral mechanic that some mobs in Hytale will exhibit. It is not yet known exactly how hostile mobs will behave upon the release of Hytale. However, hostile mobs are typically known to attack players who get within a certain distance, or are "triggered" to attack a player during certain in-game events.
Some hostile mobs like the Fen Stalker can become docile when a certain item is given to them (In the Fen Stalker's case a raw fish).
