Animations is a method in which multiple pictures are placed in quick succession to display. Specifically in Hytale, It is referring to the movements that the Character or any creature make when performing an action. Everything from the player moving, to interacting with a chest or combat. All are made up of animations that are played when they are called upon.

These animations are suspect to not only be viewed in the Hytale Model Maker but also edited.

(Note: All of this information takes place in 60 frames a second.)

Weapons

Each weapon has a series of frames that affects each attack. Currently each weapon type has a standard amount of frames that it takes to perform the attack, it is currently unknown as to whether this shall be the case in the future.

Through Documentation several patterns have displayed themselves

  • Switching weapons takes 1 frame (note, this does not include Two-Handed weapons setting up animations)
  • Returning to an Idle stance from an attack takes ~12 frames
